THE SKULLERS RECORD PUNK LEGEND RICHARD HELL’S “I’M YOUR MAN” FOR MEN IN NEED

NJ blues rock band The Skullers have covered and recorded a version of punk legend  Richard Hell's single “I’m Your Man”

All proceeds will benefit Career Gear. The Skullers hope to bring worthy and deserved attention to Career Gear, a non-profit organization helping men in need enter or re-enter the workforce.

"I’m Your Man" was an outtake from legendary punk poet’s Richard Hell’s debut album and appeared as a b-side on a single in 1977. The Skullers’ version serves up a perfect mix of frontman Jack Skuller’s passion of the blues and early rock & roll fused with bassist Luigi Sardi’s punk origins and love of punk rock music.

Skuller says “My mother was a huge fan of Richard Hell and introduced me to the song. When we perform "I’m Your Man" at shows, it has become an audience favorite. It was an easy choice for us to release this mesmerizing blues-punk piece of magic as a summer single.”

The Skullers will donate all proceeds of sales and streams of "I’m Your Man” to Career Gear, enabling Career Gear to continue its mission of improved employment outcomes for their clients. Career Gear also helps men to learn invaluable life skills in order to become strong and stable contributors to their families, communities and society.

Review
"...numbers are immediate and crowd-pleasing enough for Nashville – particularly his Beatlefied version of Richard Hell’s scruffball “I’m Your Man”, and a new original called “She Denies Herself The Things She Loves”. If an amphitheater-touring country roughneck plucked these guys from Hudson County tomorrow and stuck them in a support slot, I wouldn’t be surprised at all." - Tris McCall
